I am now Linux Magazine's Virtualization Editor and Columnist and will be attending VMWorld 2008 in Las Vegas in that capacity.

Linux Magazine is web only now so my "On the Desktop" column is currently suspended and its fate is uncertain.

April 2008
Daniweb.com has hired me to be the regular Linux blogger/columnist. Daniweb is a technology site that has over 400,000 members and get millions of hits per month. I am proud to be added to their stable of staff writers.

March 2008
I am now the Open Source columnist for the new Systems Management News magazine. The debut issue is due out April 15, 2008. Be sure to sign up and get yours. It is a free subscription and you'll want to get my insightful perspective on the exciting world of Open Source every month.

December 2007
Other than my regular writing, I've just signed a book deal with Prentice-Hall in the Negus Series tentatively titled "Practical Virtualization Solutions" which I will co-author with Linux Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Joe Brockmeier.

I have also written what seems like a gaggle of other articles for Linux Pro Magazine, Linux+DVD Magazine, InsideCRM.com, and BusinessKnowHow.com, and others. See my Writing section for links to those.

August 2007
For those of you who are into blogs and podcasts, check out my new blog.

The August issue of Linux Magazine is out with my first "On The Desktop" column entry: Apache, For Instance. In this article I describe how to install multiple instances of a network service using the Apache web server as the example.

July 2007:
I am now the new "On The Desktop" columnist for Linux Magazine. Starting with the August 2007 issue, I will be the monthly "Linux Desktop Guru". I am very excited about this opportunity and am deeply indebted to Martin Streicher, Editor-in-Chief, for considering me for this position.
